When the power goes out, candles provide the only light. However, when there is a shortage of candles, or when you want to save the candles for later, you can use a light bulb to make a candle holder.
Take an empty light bulb and remove the metal base. Cut a piece of wick that is about two inches longer than the light bulb. Soak the wick in wax.
Put the wick in the light bulb and fill the light bulb with wax. Melt the wax by putting the light bulb in a pot of boiling water.
Let the wax cool and then light the wick.
Instruction Manual For Nature’S Blossom Candle Making
When making candles, you will need to use either a double boiler or a microwave.
To make a double boiler, fill a pot with about an inch of water and place it on the stove. Place a glass or metal bowl on top of the pot, making sure that the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water. Add the wax to the bowl.
To make a candle in the microwave, place the wax in a microwave-safe container. Microwave the wax on high for 30 seconds. Stir the wax and microwave it for another 30 seconds. Stir the wax again and microwave it for another 30 seconds, or until it is completely melted.
If you are using a scent or color, add it to the melted wax.
Pour the wax into the container you will be using to hold the candle. Place the wick in the center of the wax.
Wait for the wax to cool and harden. Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch.
