Making Citronella Beeswax Candles
There are a lot of candlemaking tutorials out there, but this is the one I use. It’s simple, and the results are beautiful and fragrant.
What you’ll need:
-Citronella essential oil (or any other essential oil that repels mosquitoes)
-Beeswax pellets
-Candle wick
-Container
Instructions:
1. Decide on the size of your candle. My container was 2.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep, so I used a wick that was about that size. Cut the wick to the desired length.
2. Put the beeswax pellets into a glass jar or measuring cup.
3. Add enough hot water to the beeswax to melt it.
4. Add the citronella essential oil to the melted beeswax.
5. Pour the melted beeswax into the container.
6. Place the wick in the center of the melted beeswax.
