Making Candle Holders Out Of Clay

Tools and Materials
- Clay, in the colors of your choice
- Hand tools or extruder, for shaping your clay
- Gel candles
- Aflexible blade, like an X-acto knife
- A rolling pin
- A baking sheet
Step 1: Preparing Clay and Designing Your Candle Holders
- Knead and condition the clay until it’s soft and pliable.
- Use your hand tools or extruder to shape and form the clay.
- If necessary, cut off small pieces and use your fingers to shape them into the desired shape.
- Make as many pieces as you need for your candle holders. They can be of any size or shape.
- Once you have all your pieces, use the X-acto knife to create a hole in the center of each piece.
- Roll the clay out on a flat surface and put your pieces onto the rolled clay.
- Use a rolling pin to press the pieces onto the clay and make sure the pieces are firmly attached.
Step 2: Baking and Finishing Your Candle Holders
- Preheat the oven to the temperature recommended on the clay package.
