Craft Idea #1: Pillar Candles
Materials: Ac Moorse Candle Making Kit, colorant, fragrance oil of choice, wick pins, silicon molds and two double boiler pots
Step 1: Melt the wax in the top pot of your double boiler. Keep stirring until all pieces are melted.
Step 2: Once wax is completed melting, add desired color and scent to wax mixture while stirring. Be sure to mix completely so color and scent are dispersed evenly throughout the wax.
Step 3: Place a wick pin in each mold and secure with a small piece of clay or stand for holding wicks up that comes in your kit. Make sure the wicks are placed close to the middle of the cavity and remain upright before pouring wax.
Step 4: Carefully pour wax into each mold making sure no air bubbles become trapped beneath the surface.
Step 5: Allow pillars to set before removing from molds (approximately 3 hours). Gently remove candles from molds with gentle pressure at either end of mold using oven gloves if needed. Insert cure label provided or transfer you’re own direct onto candle prior to packing for sale.
Craft Idea #2: Potpourri Pillow Sachets
Materials Needed: Ac Moorse Candle Making Kit, potpourri of choice, premade sachet bags or fabric scraps for sewing/cutting your own sachets
Step 1: Mix potpourri with some melted wax from your candle making kit using a 1/4 cup ratio (1 part scented oil to 4 parts potpourri mixture). Make sure to mix will until combined.
Step 2: Let this mixture rest for 10 minutes before filling your sachets with it.
Step 3: Use premade sachets or use some fabric scraps and sew/cut out your own small pouch-like shape like a small pillowcase then fill them up with potpourri & wax mixture. Sew up open side by hand or machine after filling it up strain shut with string around it as well.
Step 4: Place sachets around room as desired method of fragrance throughout your house!
