Making Candle Tarts

There are a variety of reasons to make candle tarts. Perhaps you want to create a custom fragrance, or you need a specific size or shape for a candle project. Maybe you just want to try something new. Whatever the reason, making candle tarts is a fun and easy way to get creative with your candles.

The process of making tarts is very similar to making regular candles. The main difference is that you use a tart mold instead of a candle mold. Tart molds come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so you can create tarts in any shape you like.

To make a tart, start by melting your wax. You can use any type of wax, but I prefer to use paraffin wax. I find that it melts easily and has a good burn quality.

Once the wax is melted, add your fragrance oil. I like to use between 10 and 20 drops of fragrance oil per pound of wax. Stir the wax and fragrance oil together until the oil is fully dissolved.

Now it’s time to pour the wax into the tart mold. Be sure to pour the wax slowly and carefully, so you don’t spill it. Use a spoon or popsicle stick to help spread the wax around the mold, making sure it is evenly distributed.

If you want, you can add a bit of color to your tarts. Just add a few drops of food coloring to the wax and stir until it is fully dissolved.

Once the wax has hardened, you can remove the tarts from the mold. Just give the mold a good shake and the tarts will pop right out.

Can You Use Food Coloring For Candle Making

?

Sure you can! Food coloring is a great way to add fun and color to your candles. It is also a great way to customize your candles to match your decor or specific occasions.

When choosing a food coloring to use for candle making, it is important to consider the type of wax you are using. Some waxes are more sensitive to color than others. For example, soy wax is a great choice for adding color because it is a soft wax and is less likely to react to the food coloring.

To add food coloring to your candles, start by melting your wax. Once the wax is melted, add the desired amount of food coloring. Stir the wax and food coloring together until the color is evenly distributed.

Then, pour the wax into your desired candle container. Allow the wax to cool and harden before lighting your candle.
