The first thing you need to do is gather your supplies. You will need soy wax, a pot to melt the wax in, a wick, a wick holder, a thermometer, and a container to put the finished candle in.
The amount of wax you will need depends on the size of the container you are using. For a typical 8-ounce container, you will need about 4 ounces of wax.
The wax should be melted at a temperature of between 120 and 130 degrees Fahrenheit. You can use a stovetop or a microwave to melt the wax.
Once the wax is melted, add the fragrance oil of your choice. Use between 10 and 20 drops per 4 ounces of wax.
Add the wick to the melted wax and carefully place the wick holder in the center of the container.
Once the wax has cooled to a temperature of 110 degrees Fahrenheit or below, pour it into the container.
Allow the candle to cool completely before burning.
