Candle making is a fun and creative hobby that many people enjoy. To get started in candle making, the first step is to decide what type of candle you want to make. There are many different types of candles, such as tea lights, votives, jar candles, and pillars. However, one of the simplest yet most versatile kind is a container candle.
Once you have chosen your type of container candle and determined the supplies you will need to make it (wax, mold or jar for the container, wick or other supplies), use the following step-by-step instructions:
1. Start by warming your wax until it is melted and pourable. It is best to do this in a double boiler so that there is more control over the heat than say an open flame would provide.
2. If using a wick with your container candle, place it in the center of your chosen mold or jar now (use adhesive dots to help keep it centered).
3. Gradually pour the wax into the mold or jar until it reaches just below where you wish the finished surface of your candle will be at when complete (pouring too fast can cause air bubbles so be careful).

3. Candle Unevenly Melted – Candles that don’t melt properly can be off-putting as they leave unsightly “tunnelling”, where some of the wax is left behind after burning due to lack of contact with the heat source (the flame). To prevent this problem, use a higher melting point paraffin in combination with other components like beeswaxes and butters to create more evenly melted candles at an acceptable rate of burning. Additionally, keep an eye on burning time and adjust accordingly by allowing more or less wick exposure based on how quickly/slowly your candles are melting down.

1. Dipped candles ” Use wax and a variety of embellishments to create custom dipped candles in any color or shape you desire. You’ll need a double boiler, wax melting pot, candle wicks, molding materials (depending on the shape you’d like your final product to be) and molds or beeswax sheets. If using beeswax sheets, cut out your desired shapes before melting and attaching them together with melted wax. Add your desired embellishments while the candle is still wet and wait for it to dry before lighting!
2. Soy container candles ” This project requires a bit more time than dipped candles but yields a higher quality end product. Soy candles are made by melting soy wax chunks in a thermometer-controlled double boiler before adding dye and scent to create something special for your home or for gifting. Choose glass containers such as jars or tumblers and add wicks that have been pre-tabbed at the bottom. Be sure to trim any excess from the wicks after pouring in your melted soy wax mixture into each container. Let them cool completely before use!
3. Pretty pillar candles ” Pillar candles are all about presentation and this project involves painting layers of different colored wax onto pre-made pillar molds to form beautiful designs when lit up! Melt down several chunks of descriptive categorized of cake craft candlewaxes such as paraffin, mineral oil, vinegar, stearic acid, titanium dioxide etc… in separate covered pots maintaining one temperature consistent throughout each layer poured to ensure proper finish on each layer without smudging etc… Allow each layer to set properly before pouring additional layers over it till you complete desired design pattern followed by firing up other side faced molds similarly culminating into handsome looking finished product which can either be gifted away as tokens or used aesthetically lightening up home interiors!.
