Hot Plate Candle Making

What you will need:
-Hot plate
-Candle wax
-Wick
-Scissors
-Double boiler (or a pot and a glass bowl)
-Pouring pot
-Thermometer
-Spatula
-Lighter
-Candle container
Step 1:
Cut the wick to the desired length. For a hot plate candle, we recommend a wick that is about 2 inches taller than the candle container.
Step 2:
Place the wax in the double boiler (or pot and glass bowl). Heat the wax until it is completely melted.
Step 3:
Check the temperature of the wax with the thermometer. The wax should be heated to between 165 and 175 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 4:
Pour the wax into the pouring pot.
Step 5:
Place the wick in the center of the candle container.
Step 6:
Slowly pour the wax into the container. Make sure the wick remains in the center of the container.
Step 7:
Allow the candle to cool completely before lighting it.
