Soy Beeswax Candle Making
From the beginning of time, man has used candles for light. The first candles were made of animal fat, but today we use soy wax because it is a renewable resource and burns cleaner than other waxes. In this tutorial, you will learn how to make soy beeswax candles.
Materials
Soy wax flakes
Beeswax pellets
Coconut oil
Essential oil (optional)
Candle wick
Double boiler
Scissors
Pouring pot
Jar to put the candles in
Instructions
1. Start by melting the soy wax flakes and the beeswax pellets together in the double boiler.
2. Once the wax is melted, add the coconut oil and the essential oil, if desired.
3. Cut the wick to the desired length and tie it to the top of the pouring pot.
4. Pour the wax into the jar, making sure to center the wick.
5. Let the candles cool and harden before burning.
