Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
-A saucepan
-Wax
-A stove
-A spoon
-A thermometer
-A mold (you can use an old candle jar or make your own mold out of wax)
-wick
-essential oils (optional)
To make the candle, start by heating the wax in the saucepan over medium heat. Use a thermometer to make sure the wax reaches a temperature of 190 degrees F.
Once the wax is hot, carefully pour it into the mold. You may want to have an adult help with this step, as the wax can be hot.
Wait a few minutes for the wax to cool, then insert the wick. If you’re using essential oils, add them now.
Finally, let the candle cool completely before lighting it.
