Flower Candle Making

What You’ll Need:

Steps for Making Flower Candles:
Step 1: Preparing the Wax
Start by melting the wax using a double boiler, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Be sure to always wear safety equipment as hot wax is flammable. Once it has melted, add fragrances and colorants to create a unique candle.
Step 2: Pouring the Wax
Once the wax has melted, position the wicks in the molds using a special tool or skewer. Then pour the wax into the mold, filling it to the desired height. Allow the wax to cool and solidify for at least an hour.
Step 3: Embedding the Wax Flowers
Once cool, remove the candle from the mold. If you are happy with the shape and size of the candle, you can now embed wax flowers into the candle. To do this apply a thin layer of beeswax on the surface of the candle and place the wax flowers on top of it. Be sure to line the edges of the candle with bee’s wax to seal in the fragrance.
Step 4: Finishing Touches
Once the candle is dry and cooled, you can add the finishing touches such as a sealant or wax shavings. You can also mix different colors of wax for a more aesthetically pleasing finish.
