Great DIY Candle Ideas
Candle ideas can be used to create romantic settings or simply brighten up a room. You may want to have different scents for every day of the year so that you can create candlelight in any season. You can choose from the wide varieties of candle ideas and create a special ambiance for every room in your home.
For this article we will concentrate on candle decorating and DIY candle ideas. These types of candles are very popular and there is no shortage of information on how to make them and where to buy them online or in stores. You can make all sorts of candles from the classic candle with a wick to the more elaborate designs that will blow your mind away with the variety of scents and colors they can produce.
Candle ideas for Halloween include scented pillar candles, fall colored candles in pumpkin or jalopykins, and of course candle holders in all shapes and sizes. They can be used on the mantel, dining table, counter, windowsills, even on the kitchen counter. One of my favorites is a mason jar candle holder that is perfect for any type of themes you can use in your home for Halloween such as princesses, pumpkins, ghosts, unicorns, and more. There are many other candle ideas for Halloween that you can search on the internet and I would suggest getting candle making books as well as candle-making kits as you will have many more fun and unique candle ideas to choose from.
Another great candle ideas for Halloween that I have found through internet searches and home improvement stores is using realistic glass or crackling wood candle holders. These candle holders look like they have been carved out of real glass. Some even come with crackling wood sounds when the wick burns. They come in many different themes to match the Halloween decor you already have.
If you want to have some candles made on Halloween or just do them yourself, there are also plenty of candle ideas on the internet for you to explore. Some of the candles you can make for Halloween are ones that have orange and black string attached to the inside of the wick. You can also make candles that look like jack-o-lanterns.
If you prefer candles that are not quite so realistic you can purchase the real thing and just dye the wick to fit your personal style. If there are not enough colors in the candle holders for you to choose from you can find candle holders that come in multicolor packs. The candles in these packs are usually only red, orange and black. You can find candle holders in all kinds of wonderful hues. You can get everything from pumpkin to salmon to hot pink.
There are some great DIY candle ideas if you prefer candles that you make yourself. One idea is to make a candle holder out of a clear ice bucket. You can then fill the bottom of the ice bucket with sand and allow the candle to sit inside of it. You can pour different colored candles into the ice bucket until you have created an awesome tower. You will be able to see the candle and smell the aromas as it burns down.
If you would rather skip the candle holder and just use a regular candle, you can. Just make sure you use one that has the same scent or color as your Halloween decoration. For example, if you use a candy cane you could make a candle holder with a candle in the center. Make sure you use some wick so that the candle doesn’t burn down to your finger.
