Making Soy Wax Candles
What you will need:
Soy wax flakes
Candle wicks
Cup or container to melt wax in
Fragrance or essential oil
Scissors
Stove top
Pot
Spoon
Thermometer
Step One: Cut your wicks to the desired length. For soy wax candles, I like to keep the wicks around two inches long.
Step Two: Melt your soy wax flakes in a pot on the stove. I do this by placing a cup or container of soy wax flakes in a pot on medium heat and stirring with a spoon until the wax is melted.
Step Three: Once the wax is melted, add the desired amount of fragrance or essential oil. I like to use about 10-15 drops of oil per pound of wax.
Step Four: Place the wicks in the cups or containers you will be using to make your candles.
Step Five: Pour the melted wax into the cups or containers, filling them to about an inch from the top.
Step Six: Allow the candles to cool and harden. Once they are cool, trim the wicks to about 1/4 inch in length.
Your soy wax candles are now ready to be enjoyed!

Now it is time to pour your wax into the mold. Be sure to pour it in slowly and carefully so that you do not spill it.
