For starters, if you want to make your own candles from scratch then you will need to purchase a kit that contains everything you will need. There are many different kits on the market today and each one varies in price. There are also many different options you have when choosing which kit you want to go with. Some kits contain wax, molds, wicks, and scents.

The kits that I went with were quite cheap and I was able to get most everything I needed for under $30. You will also need to buy a candle grater and a double boiler. A candle grater will make it easier to melt the wax, and a double boiler will ensure that your candles are done right. After you have all of these items, it is time to make your candles. Let’s start with the wax.

You will need to melt down some beeswax or candelilla wax. Be careful not to let any water get into the melt room as it can cause a big mess! Once the wax is melted place it in the mold of your choice. It is best to be consistent so make sure you have the same mold number for every candle.

Next we will need to add the wick to the bottom of the candle. You will need an electric candle lighter or regular candle holder. You can use a wick tab for this part as well. Do not light the wick until the wax has completely melted. If the wick is not completely lighted you will not get good results with your DIY candles.

Now that your wax and wick are in place you are ready to add your wick and insulation. I used double stick tape to hold my wick to the bottom of my candle. You will need to trim the insulation to fit around the bottom of your candle. Test the insulation before lighting to make sure it is clear.

Finally, you are ready to light the candles and watch your creation! My favorite thing about doing DIY candles like this is watching the sparkle! It is truly a beautiful thing. Some of my favorite homemade candles are the ones that I have made by hand.

If you are looking for a new way to spend your time and have some fun, you might want to consider doing your own candles. It can be a lot of fun and you will create some wonderful creations. I would suggest that you start small at first and work your way up. Once you master the basics, you will be able to do everything.

I started by getting a pack of craft store paint and sticking different kinds of candles. The sky was the limit! It really doesn’t matter what kind of candles you choose to do. As long as you put some thought into it and take your time it will be a success. There are many ways you can make your candles from scratch.
