Wax Temperature Candle Making
The temperature at which you melt your wax is important. Too high and you’ll scorch your wax and ruin your fragrance. Too low and your wax will take forever to melt, and you’ll use up more wax in the process.

• For paraffin wax, the melting point is between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
• For beeswax, the melting point is between 145 and 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
• For soy wax, the melting point is between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
• For palm wax, the melting point is between 135 and 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
If you’re not sure what type of wax you’re using, or you want to be extra careful, start with a lower temperature and increase it if needed.
